STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 17, 2022) - The Buena Vista men's soccer team remained at home to continue its schedule on Saturday afternoon against visiting Illinois College, but came up on the short end of a 4-0 contest.

The Blueboys took the early 1-0 lead when a corner kick deflected off a Beaver foot and into the back of the net. They then went up 2-0 midway through the opening half before a late first half goal gave them a 3-0 cushion. 

BVU was held without a shot attempt in the first half and finished the contest with just two overall.  Illinois College scored the final goal during the 69th minute and finished with seven shots-on-goal for the day.

Charlie Adams and Connor Williams each recorded a shot for BVU which was held without a goal for the first time this season.

Buena Vista is now 0-4-2 overall and will host Grinnell College on Sunday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.
