ABOUT BUENA VISTA
The Beavers will hit the road after splitting a pair of games vs Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday to capture the season series. They will enter the contest as the top ranked team in the A-R-C.Â
Heading into this weekend's contest, the Beavers will boast an offense that ranks 1st among the A-R-C with 270 runs scored.Â
A significant contributor of late has been the reigning A-R-C Position Player of the Week, Logan Mueller. The senior third baseman has rebounded from a challenging start to the season to be a force at the end of the Beaver's lineup. On the season, the Columbus, Neb. native has hit .366 (14th in A-R-C) with 2 homeruns (23rd in A-R-C), 11 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases (8th in A-R-C).Â
The Beavers lineup has had a lot depth. Three other teammates accompany Mueller in ranking top 25 among A-R-C hitters for batting average. That list includes Evan Taylor (2nd), Joel Garcia (17th), and Jordan Mathewson (20th). The Beavers also have 6 hitters that rank in the top 25 among A-R-C hitters in RBIs. That list includes Joel Garcia (3rd), Calvin Harris (4th), Evan Taylor (t-7th), Grant Oseka (t-12th), Jordan Mathewson (t-21st), and Caden Mathewson (t-21st).Â

They will look to build off Wednesday where they received a pair of solid starts from Mason Gehling and Michael Demers. They will be aided in that goal by Morgan Smith. The freshman hurler has ranked among the A-R-C's best winning 3 games (8th) sporting a 3.48 ERA (7th) across 44 innings (5th) while striking out 58 (3rd). Accompanying Smith on the ERA leaderboards has been Dalton Glenn (15th), Mason Gehling (21st), and Mark Eddie (24th).Â
