DUBUQUE, Iowa (April 17, 2021) - The University of Dubuque scored four first half goals and added five more in the second to get past the Buena Vista University women's soccer team 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in an American Rivers Conference match-up.

The Spartans scored the first goal of the day less than two minutes into the match and later added the next two just a minute apart for a 3-0 lead.  BVU was held without a shot in the opening period and were outshot on the day by a 49-2 margin.

Four different players added two goals each to help lead the Spartans, who improved to 5-3-1 overall (3-3-1 A-R-C).  McKeely Tjaden went the distance in-goal for the Beavers, registering 20 saves.

Buena Vista is 0-6 overall (0-6 A-R-C) and will play its final home match on Wednesday evening, April 21, against Central College at 5:00 p.m.
