INDIANOLA, Iowa (March 30, 2021) - Braedan Evans and Brody Steinfeldt each scored their first goals of the season on Tuesday night, but the scores came too late in the contest as the Storm had already built an 8-0 cushion and went on to hand the Buena Vista University men's soccer team a tough 9-2 setback inside Buxton Stadium.

Simpson (2-0, 2-0 A-R-C) scored its first three goals within the first 15 minutes of play and added three more later in the half for a 6-0 halftime advantage.  The Storm didn't stop there and scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second period before Evans registered BVU's first points of the season with his shot off a save from a penalty kick.  After Simpson answered with its final goal, Steinfeldt added his first collegiate goal as well as the game's final points with five minutes left to play.

Evans talled a team-leading three shots on the night with Steinfeldt converting on his only shot attempt of the match.  Jarrod Daniel went the distance in-goal for the Beavers in his first action of the year and registered 10 saves.

Buena Vista (0-2, 0-2 A-R-C) will look to get into the win column on Saturday afternoon when the team plays at Luther College this Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
