DUBUQUE, Iowa (October 23, 2021) - The Buena Vista University volleyball team saw its American Rivers Conference Tournament hopes fade on Saturday as the team dropped a 3-0 match at Loras College to dip into seventh place in the league standings.
Senior
Sydney McLaren turned in nine kills to lead BVU which was held to only 32 kills overall.Â
Rachel Brockney was next with seven kills and also added seven digs. BVU had 13 attack errors in the contest and finished with a hitting percentage of .173. Loras, meanwhile, had 49 digs and only 13 errors and were efficent with a .313 attack percentage. The Duhawks also posted seven ace serves with BVU finishing without one.
Taylor Wedemeyer dished out 24 assists and went over 600 on the season while also adding five digs. Senior
Jade Hays registered 13 digs to lead BVU as
Molly Bense chimed in with 10.
Buena Vista has now dropped three straight matches overall and fall to 9-10 on the year (2-5 A-R-C). The Beavers will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday night October 27 by hosting Simpson College at 7:30 p.m.Â
