SERIES OUTLOOK
Tonight is the 83rd meeting between the two programs with BVU holding a 46-36 all-time series lead.  The two teams split last season's two match-ups after the Beavers had won eight straight.  Central's win last season came down in Pella as the Dutch edged the Beavers, 47-45.  The first-ever meeting came back in 1976-77 with the Dutch picking up a 61-53 triumph.

SCOUTING CENTRAL
The Dutch are taking the court tonight looking for their third straight win after victories at Dubuque (59-46) and at home versus Nebraska Wesleyan (81-71), respectively.  During conference play, the team is scoring 61.0ppg and is being outscored by an average of 13.0ppg.  It ranks right in the middle of several statistical categories throughout the league, but is tops in three-point field goal defense at 24.2 percent and in blocked shots at 4.71 per contest.  It's been a balanced scoring attack for most of the season with four players averaging better than 9.5ppg.  Kelsea Hurley leads that group at 13.7ppg and has also dished out a team-leading 42 assists while chipping in with 21 steals and 11 blocks.  Kendall Brown is second on the team in scoring (12.7ppg), but is shooting a stellar 63.9 percent from the field, is leading the way in rebounding (6.0rpg) and has a team-high 47 blocked shots.  During conference play, she's shooting better than 73 percent from the field to lead the league and also sits at the top in blocks per game (3.6).  As a team, the Dutch are shooting 43.5 percent from the field, 34.5 percent from long distance and just 66 percent from the free-throw line.  It's been tough on the glass, averaging nearly 40.0rpg for the year.

ABOUT BUENA VISTA
The Beavers remain in search for the first conference victory of the season.  Turnovers have plagued the team for a majority of the year to this point, as they average 22.7 per game overall, but did commit only 16 in the loss to the Storm which was its lowest over the last eight games.  The team has made over 20 field goals in each of the last two outings which is the first time this season it has surpassed 20 in consecutive games.  It's been shooting the ball a bit more efficiently as of late, going over 40 percent in three of the last six contests after doing so just once in the first 10 games.  The Beavers are also a regular at the charity stripe, having attempted nearly 80 more free-throw shots than their opponents.  The team is shooting just under 70 percent from the line.  Senior Destiny Einerwold leads the team and ranks third in the league in scoring overall at 16.4ppg.  She is doing alot of that scoring from the free-throw line, having made 87 on the year compared to only 81 made field goals.  She's attempted over 110 free-throws on the year with the next closest teammate just below 50.  During conference play, the Beavers are averaging just over 61.0ppg and shooting 39.5 percent from the field.  It's one of just three teams to have made over 100 free-throws through the first half of the schedule.
