Augustana College (Ill.) got on the board in the first four minutes of the match against Buena Vista on Friday night, and the Vikings would hang on to hand the Beavers their fourth straight one-goal defeat in a match played at Thorson-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill.

Bennett Tomalin scored with just 3:58 gone by on an unassisted goal to give Augustana the quick 1-0 lead.  Both defenses were solid all match long with the two sides combining for just seven total shots-on-goal.

Sam McLachlan had two of BVU's three shots-on-goal with Noah Bardwell adding one.

Manuel Garcia Aguilar gave it all he had in-goal, notching three saves, but was again the hard-luck loser.  He's allowed just six goals over the last four matches, but the Beavers have scored just twice during that span.

Buena Vista is now 0-6 on the year and will go after that first win of the year when it travels to Knox College on Sunday for a 4:00pm match against the Prairie Fire.
