Box Score Buena Vista sophomore Bryce Rheault has been recognized for his play over the past week by being named the Iowa Conference's Baseball Position Player of the Week for the period ending, March 18.
Rheault went 14-for-25 at the plate during that stretch (.560), including four extra-base knocks and six RBI. He went for a career-high five hits against Wesleyan University (Conn.) in the team's first game of the spring trip on Thursday, March 15. He had at least two hits in four of the team's five games on the week and scored a team-high nine runs.
Defensively, he had four assists and seven putouts as he helps anchor the middle of the Beaver infield.
It's the first such recognition for Rheault in his career, and he's the first player to earn such honors since Kolby Hilgenberg in the first week of last season.
