Men's Soccer Dealt Tough 4-2 Road Loss to Dordt

Box Score

Buena Vista fell behind 2-0 early on the road at Dordt College on Friday afternoon, but the Beavers rallied to tie things up just minutes into the second, only to see the Defenders had a response of their own with two more second half goals en route to a 4-2 victory.

Dordt took their two-goal lead midway through the opening half before BVU got on the board when Jared Dow scored his first goal in a Beaver uniform off a penalty kick with just over 6:00 left in the half.

Steve Nyaye wasted no time pulling BVU even by finding the back of the net for the first time this season less than one minute into the second half.

That's how things stood for most of the half until Dordt broke the tie with under 10 minutes left in regulation.  The Defenders then added a big insurance goal a minute later en route to the 4-2 win.

Dordt held an 18-5 edge in total shots as Nyaye had three of BVU's five.

Buena Vista dips to 3-4 on the year and will look to get back on track when the team travels to Grinnell College on Sunday for a 2:00pm match against the Pioneers.
