All-Time Series: Buena Vista leads (42-35)

Last Time Out
Buena Vista fell behind early to visiting Coe College on Senior Day this past Saturday inside of Siebens Fieldhouse, but a strong second half helped bring the Beavers back for a pivotal 79-72 victory to complete the split of the season series, but more importantly move BVU into a third-place tie in the league standings with two to play.  The Kohawks dropped two games behind.

The Dutch saw their current losing streak reach five games with a 77-68 home loss to Simpson College on Saturday.  Emily Dine provided the spark with seven three-point buckets and a team-high 21 points.  Claire Marburger added 16 points and seven rebounds but it wasn't quite enough in what was a back-and-forth contest.

Scouting Central
After a positive start to the season at 8-2, the Dutch have cooled off since the start of the calendar year where it dropped a three-point contest at home to Luther followed by a 56-37 road loss to the Beavers.  The team's only win of 2017 was a 50-46 road win at Dubuque on January 25.  It has dropped three of its last five by double-digits.  Marburger is turning in nearly 18.0ppg during conference play and grabbing 7.5rpg while shooting 46 percent from the field.

BVU Game Notes

  • Sidney Beckman has 203 career made three-point buckets and is 13 back of Lexi Fisher for 2nd on the program's all-time list.  She has six career games of making at least six.
