The Buena Vista men's soccer team trailed just 1-0 at halftime, but Luther went on to add a pair of second half goals to pull away late en route to a 3-0 Iowa Conference victory over the beavers on Saturday afternoon.

The Norse broke a scoreless match with five minutes to play in the opening half when Bruno Colon registered his first goal of the year.

That's how things stood until 10 minutes into the second half when Luther found the back of the net again for a 2-0 lead before adding the final score of the contest midway through the 85'.

Luther held a 33-3 advantage in shots wit 14 coming on-goal.

Manuel Garcia Aguilar got the start in front of the net for BVU and went the distance, while posting nine saves.

Buena Vista dips to 4-9-1 on the year (0-4 IIAC) and returns to action again next Saturday when it travels to Loras College for a 1:00pm kickoff.
