The Buena Vista men's soccer team had a tough test to close out the season on Tuesday night by traveling to face #23 Wartburg College, and the Beavers would see their season come to and end with a 5-0 setback to the Knights.

Wartburg went in front during the third minute and led 2-0 with only 15 minutes gone by.  The Knights then built a 3-0 halftime lead with a goal during the 35'.

BVU was held without a single shot in the opening half and had just one over the final 45 minutes. 

The Knights (11-3-4, 5-1-1 IIAC) finished with a 21-1 advantage in total shots and would add two more second half goals.

Senior Juan Flores-Andrade registered the only shot for BVU, as he played in his final career contest.

Matt Tennyson got the start and suffered the loss, allowing all five goals and registering two saves over 76'.  Senior Jordan Balster came on to play the final 14' and did not face a single shot-on-goal.

Buena Vista sees its season come to an end at 4-13-1 (0-7 IIAC).  In addition to Flores-Andrade and Balster, the match was also the final one in the careers of Steve Gutschenritter, Drake Ruth, Alex Gleaves and Rolando Zuniga.
