Kwame Antwi scored his fourth goal of the year for Buena Vista, but the Beavers were unable to overcome a 3-1 second half deficit, as Grinnell College hung on for a 3-2 non-conference victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers got on the board first less than 15 minutes in before Antwi evened things up midway through the first half.  Grinnell added a late first half goal to regain a 2-1 lead before pushing the margin to 3-1 midway through the second.

Juan Flores-Andrade cut the deficit to 3-2 during the 82nd minute, but that proved to be the final points for either team in the contest.

Grinnell outshot BVU, 26-8, in the match, but only 9-4 on shots on-goal.

Buena Vista is now 1-3 overall and returns to the field on Friday, September 13, when the team travels North to Wisconsin to face Marian in a 7:00pm contest.
