Nebraska Wesleyan Scores Three Second Half Goals to Edge Beavers

Box Score

Rolando Zuniga scored his first goal in a Buena Vista uniform on Wednesday night, but it wasn't quite enough as Nebraska Wesleyan went on to follow with three unanswered goals for a 4-1 non-conference victory.

The Prairie Wolves got on the board first with a breakaway goal with less than seven minutes gone by.  Zuniga, who finished with two shots on-goal in the contest, evened things up early in the second half.

NWU had an answer just seven minutes later for a 2-1 lead before adding two late goals to secure the three-goal victory.

Joey Stivers turned in a team-high four shots for the Beavers, who were out-shot, 21-9, in the match.

Buena Vista now sits at 1-2 overall and returns to the field on Sunday afternoon for a non-conference road match at Grinnell College.  Start time is scheduled for 4:00pm.
