The Buena Vista softball team saw its 2013 season come to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 (5 inning) loss to third-seed Luther College in the opening round of the IIAC Tournament, hosted by Coe College.  The tournament was forced to move to a single-elimination format due to the inclement weather over the last few days.

The Norse came out and scored five times in the first inning, including a three-run home run. They then added four more in the third for the game's final score.

The Beavers were held to only one hit - a Sam Engleman double in the fifth.

Jenna Falline suffered the loss after being charged with five runs in only 0.1 innings of work.

Buena Vista ends its season at 14-21 overall, and the game marks the final one in the careers of seniors Hannah Baker and Jessy Bibler.
