Michael Sullivan joined the Beaver football coaching staff in the fall of 2023 and will begin his third seasonĀ as wide receivers coach.

Sullivan is no stranger to the program as he was a stand-out receiver himself for BVU from 2001-04. He finished his career with 1,583 receiving yards - a mark that remains 10th on the program's all-time list.

Prior to returning to campus at the start of the 2023 campaign, Sullivan spent eight years within the Storm Lake Community School District, including the final two years as principal at Storm Lake's early elementary school which opened in 2022 and the East Childhood Center. Before being promoted to that position, Sullivan was the assistant principal at the elementary school and also held positions as a kindergarten and sixth grade teacher, along with an instructional strategist. During this time, Sullivan also served as an assistant coach for the Tornado varsity football team.

A 2005 graduate of BVU, Sullivan spent time teaching in Arizona, Illinois, Connecticut, and in eastern Iowa before returning to Storm Lake in 2013.

Sullivan is a native of Woodbine, Iowa, and resides in Storm Lake with his wife, Megan (also a 2005 BVU graduate), and their three children:Ā Declan, Finley, and Collins.
