About Samantha: Is the daughter of Kim Knudsen...has two brothers, Chris and Josh.
High School Highlights: Samantha earned Second Team All-Conference catcher in 2010, First Team All-Conference catcher in 2011, Honorable Mention All-State in 2010 and 2011 as well as being team captain in 2011. She was a five-year letter winner in softball and also a 2-year letter winner in cheerleading
College Highlights:
2014: She saw limited action on the year, appearing in nine games off the bench, recording a pair of hits in 15 at-bats.
2013: She started all 29 games in which she appeared and finished third on the team with a .282 batting average. She belted a pair of home runs and drove in 16 runs, while scoring 22. Her .474 slugging percentage was second-best on the team. She had a pair of three-hit games on the year, including one against Wartburg when she went 3-for-3 with a double, home run and drove in a career-best six runs, while scoring twice. She also had three hits and three RBI against Eastern Connecticut State earlier in the year.
2012: Sam started all 11 games in which she appeared in. She finished with 13 hits in 33 at-bats, including a 2-for-3 effort in only her second career game, posting a double, RBI and a run scored. She turned in a career-best three hits in the opener of a doubleheader at Wartburg College before turning in three more in the finale of the twinbill. In that series, she went 6-for-10 with a pair of stolen bases.
