About Mikaela: Born 3/18/94...is the daughter of Chip Millslagle and Billie Hovick...has three sisters, Mikenzi Monthei, Emma Hovick, and Kyra Stevenson, as well as four brothers, Mitchell Monthei, Michael Millslagle, Matthew Hovick and Riley Stevenson.
High School Highlights: She was a five-time letterwinner for the Demons and a four-time all-conference selection. She also earned all-district and all-state accolades as both a sophomore and junior. In addition to softball, she was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball, basketball and track. In volleyball, she was a three-time all-conference selection, as well as receiving all-district honors as a junior. On the basketball court, she was an all-conference performer her final three years, and in track, she was a state qualifier her junior year in the long jump. Aside from athletics, Mikaela was listed on the Honor Roll all four years, named ABC Best of the Class, earned the Governor''s Scholar Award, was academic all-conference all four years and graduated as her class Valedictorian.
College Highlights:
2014: She played in 27 games for the Beavers and was a big component defensively. She led the team and ranked eighth in the IIAC in total chances (235) while ranking the same in put-outs with 230. At the plate, she saw limited time during league play with only 14 at-bats, but did register hits in four of those. Following the year, she earned a spot on the Academic All-IIAC Team in her first year of eligibility.
2013: Appeared in 14 games during her first collegiate season, including 11 starts. She went 1-for-2 in her collegiate debut against nationally-ranked St. Thomas to start the year. Just three games later, she added a hit against Gustavus Adolphus and also drove in a career-high two runs.
