About Marissa: Is the daughter of Kim Dimig...has one brother, Blaise, as well as one sister, Maya.
High School Highlights: She was a five-time varsity letterwinner for the Warriors. She was a Second Team All-War Eagle Conference selection as a sophomore before earning First Team All-Missouri River accolades her junior and senior seasons. In addition, she was a First Team All-District selection as a freshman and senior, along with a First Team All-State performer as a senior.
As a senior, she finished the year hitting .484 with a slugging percentage of .629, while helping the team go 35-4 overall. She totaled 16 doubles and 35 RBI in 124 at-bats, while striking out just four times.
Aside from athletics, she was listed on the Silver Honor Roll.
College Highlights:
2017: First Team All-Iowa Conference...First Team All-Region by NFCA...Started all 37 games, primarily as the DP...Led the team in hitting at .421, hits (46), RBI (28) and walks (17)...Struck out just four times in 129 plate appearances...Had 14 multi-hit games...Had a career-high four hits, including two doubles, against Hendrix on March 23...Hit a dramatic walk-off grand slam to defeat Simpson 7-5 in game two of a DH...Moved into 10th on the program''s all-time list with 120 hits, eighth in career doubles (29), fourth in RBI (85) and second in walks (64).
2016: She started all 36 games this season. She would lead the team in RBI’s with 25 and batted .288. She was also third on the team in hits with 30 and fourth in at bats with 104. Against Central College on April 13th she would go 2-2 with 4 RBI’s and hit a home run.
2015: Had a career-year for the Beavers as a sophomore where she started 38 games, primarily as the team''s starting second baseman. She led the way offensively, with a team-high .391 average that included a team-best and school-record 14 doubles. She also hit two home runs and drove in a team-high 28 runs. In 110 at-bats, she struck out only eight times, posted an on-base percentage of .511 and a slugging percentage of .573. She went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored during BVU''s 9-6 win over Coe College in game two of the opening doubleader of the IIAC schedule. She finished with 18 hits in 49 at-bats during IIAC play with seven of those hits going for extra bases. She also had a career-high three RBI in game two against Wartburg College on April 20 and went a career-best 4-for-4 with a double, RBI and a run scored against Northwestern College (IA) on April 24.
2014: She appeared in limited action off the bench for the Beavers as a freshman. For the year, she played in 11 games and had two hits in 26 at-bats. She made her collegiate debut against St. Thomas (Minn.) in the team''s second game of the year. She recorded her first collegiate hit in her next game, going 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI against Bethel on March 1.
