Biography

About Keely: Is the daughter of Ted Bycroft and Missy Bycroft...has one brother, Colby.

High School Highlights: Was a four-year letterwinner for the Blujays.  During her career, she earned Second Team all-conference recognition three times (2012-14).  She played on four state tournament teams, including a state championship in 2013 and state runner-up in 2014.  During those years, she was an all-tournament team selection in 2012 and 2014.

In addition to softball, Keely lettered her final three years in basketball, serving as a team captain in 2013 & 2014 and was a part of three state tournament qualifying teams.  She also lettered three times in volleyball (10th-12th) and four years in track & field.

Aside from athletics, she was Class Valedictorian, listed on the ''A'' Honor Roll and was a member of the National Honor Society.

College Highlights:

2018: Keely played in all 36 games this year and started every contest. She spent most of the year playing first base but did pitch in seven outings. In 116 at-bats she touted a .267 batting average and accumulated 31 hits. She also produced six doubles and walked a total of nine times. During her stint pitching this year she had an earned run average of 3.36 in 25 innnings. On April 28th she went 3-for-3 with one double and two runs batted in. 

2017: Split time between pitcher and first base...Started 35 games overall...Ranked second on the team with a .372 average in 113 at-bats...Tied for second in HR (7) and was third in doubles (8) and RBI (20)...Had 13 multi-hit games, including at least two in eight of the last 12...turned in a career-high four hits, including a home run, against Elmhurst on March 18...Went 3-for-3 with a grand slam and four RBI during a walk-off win over Simpson on April 17...One the mound, went 8-9 overall...Pitched in 96.1 innings and had a 4.00 ERA....Pitched a career-high 10 innings, allowed just one earned run during BVU''s 3-2 victory in the IIAC opener...Pitched 5.0 innings and struck out a season-high six during BVU''s win over Nebraska Wesleyan...Named First Team All-Iowa Conference utility and becomes program''s first 2x First Team selection since 1996 & 1997...Named Academic All-Iowa Confernece.

2016: She started all 36 games this season. She would be second on the team in batting average (.350), first in home runs (4), and first in total bases (68), and third in slugging percentage (.567). She would also pitch in 10 games and would finish with 34.1 innings pitched, a 3.26 ERA, and 26 strikeouts. Against D’Youville college on March 20th she would go 3-3 with 2 RBI’s and score 2 runs. She was named 1st team all conference.

2015: She appeared in 38 games, including 37 starts.  She finished the year hitting .267 overall in 120 at-bats with five doubles and three home runs which was third-most on the team.  Her 18 RBI tied for fourth.  She went 1-for-2 in her collegiate debut against nationally-ranked St. Thomas.  Her first career extra-base hit came the following day against Hamline.  She had one of the best games of the year on March 7 against UW-La Crosse when she went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored.  In addition to her bat, she also made 19 appearances on the mound, including five starts, where she went 4-4 overall with a 4.05 ERA.  In 67.1 innings of work, she allowed 49 runs and 84 hits, while striking out 52 and walking only nine. She recorded her first win against UW-La Crosse where she worked six innings, allowed just two hits and struck out six.
