Meet Geneva

  • Daughter of Mike and Tanya Coons
  • Has two brothers: Joshua and Caden
  • Has two sisters: Londyn and Quintana

What made you choose BVU?

I chose BV because of the tight-knit community and small class size. As an athlete, I really wanted to find a school that cared about my academics just as much as my sport. With the smaller classes, it allows for a more individualized learning experience and knowing all of my professors better.

What do you like most about your sport?

I love how high energy it is in the dugout and on the field. The game constantly keeps me engaged, especially as a catcher, where I get to command the field. To me, softball is all about the game inside the game, focusing on things like calling pitches and plays that will keep everyone on their toes.

Who is your favorite BVU professor and why?

Dr. Liz Kluver! She is extremely interactive in her classes and provides great insight into every topic she covers. Overall, she makes class engaging, interesting, and always leaves me wanting to learn more.
