About Daniel: Daniel is the son of Marcel Gatsinzi and Irene Mukanaho. He is also the brother of Elyse Isheja, Lars Irebe Gatsinzi, Ange Umutoni, Ariane Uwera and Elise Anna Mugabekazi.

High School Highlights: Daniel participated in soccer, track and field and basketball. He was awarded Athlete of the Year his junior and senior year. Daniel was a state champion is soccer in 2012 and a runner-up in 2013. He was a three time letter winner in high school.
