About Matt: Is the son of Steve and Kim...has one brother, Ethan.

High School Highlights: He lettered in football for the Mustangs.

College Highlights:
2014: Matt appeared in eight games for the Beavers and tallied 28 tackles, including a team-high 4.5 sacks.  His 7.5 total tackles for a loss also led BVU and he also added two pass breakups.  He registered a season-best nine tackles, including one for a loss against Simpson. 

2013: Played in all 10 games for the Beavers and finished ninth on the team in tackles with 33.  He led the team in sacks with three and also recovered three fumbles.  He turned in eight tackles against Central, including one for a loss.  Two of his sacks came against Loras for a loss of 16 yards.

2012: Appeared in nine games, including one start during his first season as a member of the football team.  His 43 tackles was the eighth-highest total on the team and is 9.5 tackles for a loss was second.  He turned in a career-high eight tackles in the season finale against the University of Dubuque and had a pair of games with four solo stops.
