Biography

About Jalen: Is the son of Mark and Jeannie Henningsen, who each played basketball at BVU....his mother Jeannie is the women''s basketball program''s all-time leading scorer and a BVU Athletic Hall of Famer...has one sister, Jordan, who graduated from BVU in 2015 and was a one-year member of the women''s basketball team and a three-year letterwinner of the volleyball.

High School Highlights: He was a three-year letterwinner for the Warriors where he was a First Team All-District and Second Team All-State selection. In addition to football, he was also a three-time letterwinner in baseball, earning First Team All-District, First Team All-District and First Team All-State accolades. He was a starting outfielder on the Warriors'' state qualifying team as a senior, hitting .400 with 49 runs scored and 35 stolen bases. He also lettered three times in basketball and was a four-year letterwinner in track and field. Aside from athletics, Jalen was also a member of his high school''s National Honor Society.

College Highlights:

2015: He appeared in all 10 games this season for the beavers. He would lead the team in receiving averaging nearly 100 yard per game. He also lead in receptions and receiving touchdowns. He was also third on the team in rushing yard per game. His best game this season came against Loras where he would hall in 15 receptions for 308 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was named first team all conference wide receiver.

2014: Jalen missed the entire season due to injury.

2013: Had a break-out season as a sophomore when he finished second on the team with 43 receptions, led the team in yards (748) and touchdown catches (7).  He was also second in all-purpose yards.  During Iowa Conference play, he ranked second in total yards and third in receiving yards per game. He was selected as a Second Team All-IIAC selection and was also voted to the D3football.com Team of the Week following his Week 10 performance at Simpson College.

2012: In his first collegiate season, he appeared in nine games and was fifth on the team with nine catches.  Two of those grabs went for touchdowns of more than 85 yards, including a 93-yard grab against Luther College.
