About Bobby: Is the son of Tim and Carrie Brown...has four brothers, Nick, Kevin, Mark and Zack, as well as one sister, Carrissa. His father played football and wrestled at St. John''s University (Minn.), while his brother Kevin played baseball at Briar Cliff and his brother Mark played football at Augustana.
High School Highlights: He was a three-time letterwinner while playing for the Tornadoes and was a three-time All-District and All-Area selection. In addition to his career in football, he earned four letters in baseball and was a two-time All-Conference selection, while being named to the All-Area Team as a junior and senior. Aside from athletics, he was listed on the Honor Roll throughout his career and was a member of the National Honor Society.
College Highlights:
2014: Bobby had a record-breaking season to cap his career. He set nearly every passing record in BVU single season and school history and went on to earn First Team All-IIAC accolades. He finished the year completing a career-best 60.3 percent of his pass attempts (207-of-343) for 2,894 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 51 times and scored four TD''s. He completed a season high 30 passes against Loras for 432 yards and five touchdowns. He also threw for five touchdowns a week earlier against Simpson. Following the season, he was selected to play in the National Bowl where he went on to earn MVP accolades after completing 10-of-13 passes for 126 yards and one score as his team went on to win, 17-14.
2013: Had a career-year for the Beavers as he threw for a career-high of 2,307 yards and 18 touchdowns. He averaged 240 yards per game passing during IIAC play which ranked third in the league. Finished with 377 yards and three touchdowns before scrambling for the game-winning TD as time expired against Simpson College. He was the IIAC Athlete of the Week following that contest. He was voted a Second Team selection following the year and also served as a team captain for BVU.
2012: Was the team''s starting quarterback, playing in all 10 games. He passed for a career-best 1,704 yards and 11 touchdowns. He surpassed 300 yards through the air against both Central and Luther, including a big 93 yard touchdown strike against the Norse. Three of his 11 TD strikes came against the Dutch. He rushed for a season-high 50 yards on just five carries in the season-finale against the University of Dubuque.
2011: Earned the starting quarterback spot early in the season before an injury ended his season in a game at Luther. Finished with a team-high 918 yards through the air, including a career-best 204 yards and two touchdowns against Cornell College. Posted at least 145 yards passing in five of his six contests.
