STORM LAKE, Iowa (March 13, 2026) - The American Rivers Conference announced its 2025-26 Winter Academic All-Conference Team today, and Buena Vista is represented with 30 student-athletes on the list. A total of 300 student-athletes from across the A-R-C were recognized.
The Beavers were highlighted by putting nine student-athletes from both competitive cheer and women's basketball on this year's team. The cheer total was tied for the most for that sport across the league as was BVU's seven dance selections. The nine women's basketball honorees were tied for second.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, listed on the eligibility report for his/her sport of nomination, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and have completed at least one full year of residency on campus.
