STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Buena Vista University Esports teams continue to excel this Spring. Smash Gold, Valorant and Rainbow Six remain undefeated in their leagues.
Smash Gold improved to 5-0 in Midwest Valley Esports Conference with a 2-0 (5-3, 6-0) victory over Coe College.
James Cheney led the way earning 4 points for the Beavers. He went 3-0 in game one and 3-2 in game two. Greg Stueven also scored 4 points going 3-1 in both sets.
Valorant improved to 5-0 in National Esports Collegiate Conference with a 2-0 (13-11, 13-10) victory over South Dakota School of Mines.
Khoua Xiong led the way in game one with 24 kills while
Will Roland had 23. In game two Xiong led the way with 26 kills while
Angel Lopez had 21 kills.
Rainbow Six improved to 4-0 in East Coast Collegiate Conference play with a close 2-0 (7-4, 8-7) victory over Galluadet University.
