STORM LAKE, Iowa - Valorant advances to NECC Division IX Central Championship with a hard-fought 2-1 (13-7, 5-13, 14-12) victory over #2 Carthage in the semifinals. The Beavers will take on the Wayne State College Wildcats next Monday, April 7th at 7 pm. The two teams met in the first week of the spring season with Wayne State picking up the 2-0 (13-11, 13-5) victory. 

BVU came out strong on Haven picking up the 13-7 victory. The Beavers had 74 eliminations with Angel Lopez leading the way with 27. Will Roland had 14 and Libby Franken had 13. On map two Ascent Carthage took control early cruising to the 13-5 victory. The Redbirds had 80 eliminations to the Beavers 52. Roland had led the way with 16 eliminations. 

The final map was Lotus where the two teams battled to the very end. The Beavers came away with the 14-12 victory and Roland dominated with 36 eliminations and Lopez had 25. 

Overall the Redbirds had 233 eliminations to the Beavers 226. BVU had 107 assists and 22 bomb plants. Roland had 66 eliminations and 17 assists while Lopez had 63 and 29 assists.
