STORM LAKE, Iowa - Valorant continues to play well in NECC play as they improved to 3-1 in regular season play with a 2-0 (13-10, 13-3) over Santa Clara University. The Beavers will wrap up their regular season tonight against Montana Lubrecht at 8 pm. Currently the Beavers sit in second place in Division IX Central A behind Wayne State College.
The two teams opened up their series playing on Lotus. The Beavers opened up on the defenders side. BVU won the first two round before losing the next five getting down 5-2. The two teams teams traded the next six round with Santa Clara taking an 8-5 lead before going on attack. BVU dominated from the attacking side winning eight of the final 10 round claiming the 13-10 victory.
Will Roland led the charge for BVU with an average combat score of 366. Roland also had 28 eliminations in the match.
Elizabeth Franken was right behind with 22 eliminations and a 288 average combat score.
On map two Fracture the Beavers started on the attacking side. BVU lost the first two rounds before finding their groove. BVU won 13 of the last 14 round claiming the 13-3 victory. Roland again led the charge with 33 eliminations and a 569 combat score.
Angel Lopez finished second with 14 eliminations.
