Rocket League Opens up NECC play going 1-1

Gold beats Oklahoma Christian

STORM LAKE, Iowa - The BVU Rocket League teams opened up NECC action last night going 1-1 overall. BVU Gold is in Division V Central A while Rocket League Navy is in Division VIII Central A. 

Rocket League Gold opened up play last night at 5 pm against Okalahom Christian University. The Beavers played well all night winning 3-0. In game one the Beavers held on for a 3-2 victory before winning the second match 4-2. Once again in game three the Beavers won a close one by a score of 4-3 closing out hte victory. The team consists of Skyler Keller, Ryan Webb, Ashton Greenough and Matt Mills. BVU will take on John Brown University Gold next Thursday, February 13th at 5 pm. JBU lost 3-2 over Central Methodist. 

Rocket League Navy closed out the night with a difficult defeat against Minot State University. The Beavers opened up the match winning the first two games 2-1 taking a commanding 2-0 lead. Unfortunately BVU could not close it out as they got reversed swept. The squad had some computer issues which forced them to play using two players against three the last three games. The Beavers fell in game five in overtime 4-3. The team consists of Cody Fuller, Daniel Martinez and Samuel Sturms. BVU will take on East Central University next Thursday at 7 pm.
