STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Beavers Valorant squad had a solid effort last night in NECC Division IX Central A competition. The Beavers evened their record at 1-1 with a 2-0 victory over Sitting Bull College. Next week the Beavers take on Morningside College at 8 pm. 

The two teams opened up the contest playing on Fracture. The Beavers opened up play on the attacking side. BVU opened up the contest winning the first four rounds before falling in three of the next four rounds taking the 5-3 lead. From there BVU won eight of the final ten rounds winning 13-6. 

William Roland led the way with a 357 Average Combat Score and 26 eliminations to 11 defeats. Elizabeth Franken was close behind with 326 ACS with 24 eliminations to nine defeats. 

In game two the two teams played the map Bind. The Beavers dominated this map winning the first nine rounds on their way to a 13-1 victory. Franken led the way for the Beavers with 24 eliminations and a 419 ACS. Angel Lopez was close behind with 296 ACS and 16 eliminations. 

The Beavers will take on Illinois College tonight in Midwest Valley Esports Conference at 7 pm.
