STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Buena Vista University Overwatch Gold squad picked up a huge program turning victory on Friday, February 7. The Beavers opened up NECC Spring competition competing against a very solid Wayne State squad. The Beavers had a dramatic comeback win. This was the first win in Overwatch against Wayne State. 

Round one the Beavers fought hard on Sumoa but unfortunately fell 2-0. Round two was a Hybrid map and played on Kings Row. Kings Row could have went either way but the Wildcats were able to come away with the 3-2 victory and claiming a commanding 2-0 lead in the series. 

The Beavers started working on their comeback in round three in a Push map called Esperanca. The two teams played round three extremely close but the Beavers were able to push the BOT farther then Wayne coming up with the 1-0 victory. In round four the Beavers and Wildcats played Flashpoint. Another close round but this time going to the Beavers 3-2 to even the series at 2-2. The final round was another close round with the Beavers getting the 3-2 victory on the map and claiming the victory 3-2. 

On Valentines Day, Friday, February 14 the Beavers will take on Grand View Red at 7 pm.
