COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Buena Vista University Overwatch team made history today as they played in their first ever collegiate competition at the Mid-America Gamer Expo in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The squad ran into some tough competition but got better each round and learned a lot about what they need to do in order to improve and get better. The team consisted of Jadelyn "JJ" Ussery, Harlie Ferguson, Henry Borts, Max Grace and Kenzi Toomer. 

The team played six best of three contests on the day. The fell to Coe College, Iowa Western Community College, Gretna Dragons and Bellevue University 2-0 and 2-1 against Iowa Western Community College White and Highland Community College. 

Their next competition will be on Thursday, September 14 when the compete in NECC activation week 1. Games and times are yet to be determined.
