STORM LAKE, Iowa (April 25, 2023) - The Buena Vista softball team is set to play a doubleheader at Central College on Tuesday April 25. The first game is set to start at 2:00 pm. The team is then set to play its last regular season home doubleheader against Wartburg College on Saturday April 29. The first game is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
 
Jamie Wendt leads the Beavers with a .318 batting average and the most hits with 27. Paige Druskis leads the Beavers with 16 runs scored and 5 stolen bases. Wendt has 4 stolen bases, and 13 runs scored this season. Nattie Murillo is the leader in slugging percentage at .364, has 3 doubles, and has a home run for the Beavers. Amanda Franke leads the Beavers with 4 doubles. Murillo is right behind Wendt with 26 hits. Emma LaFave has 3 wins inside the circle this season with Kennedi Claycomb leading the way with 28 strikeouts.
 
Haley Bach leads the Dutch with a .473 batting average, a slugging percentage of .615, and 43 runs scored. Also, has 43 hits, 9 doubles, and 2 triples. Emma Johnson has 40 hits this season. Franie Burnett least the team with 38 runs batted in. Johnson and Bach are tied with 14 stolen bases for the season. Madison Farrington has 2 home runs this season. Sydni Huisman has 12 wins in her 17 appearances. Emma Beck struck out 75 batters so far this season. The Dutch (25-5, 6-2 A-R-C) are ranked No. 21 in DIII and have won three straight, including a DH sweep last time out against the University of Dubuque. Their two conference setbacks are by Wartburg and Nebraska Wesleyan, respectively.
 
Reegan Deputy leads the Knights (15-13, 5-3 A-R-C) with a .391 batting average and 36 hits. Ella Link leads the team with a .698 slugging percentage and 8 home runs. Lauren Freichs has 4 triples. Freichs and Deputy are tied with 23 runs scored. Sydney Illg has stolen 18 bases this season. Sydney Fellows is tied with Link, Freichs, and Deputy with 6 doubles on the season. Tarah Wehde has 7 wins this season. Ashley Nelson has struck out 62 batters so far this season.
