Valorant season comes to an end against #1 seed Augustana College

STORM LAKE, Iowa - The BVU Valorant team battled hard but saw their season come to an end with a 2-0 (13-4, 13-7) loss against #1 Augustana College Vikings. The Beavers end their spring season with a 2-7 record after moving up a division from the fall. Competition got tougher and the Beavers battled hard and got better even though the record might not reveal their growth as a team.

The two teams opened up on the map Pearl. The Beavers came out firing winning the first two rounds of the game. After that the #1 seed settled in winning six of the next seven round taking a 6-3 lead. The Beavers continued to battle but would ultimately fall 13-4 in the opening map. Jackson Trotman led the way with 14 kills while Max Grace followed with 10.

The second map of the night the two teams played Ascent. The Beavers got down 4-0 early on and the game could have been over but they regrouped battling back winning six of the next eight rounds tie the round at 6-6. The #1 seed showed why they are there finishing the map winning seven of the final eight rounds clamming the victory 13-7 and the match 2-0.

The Beavers team will continue to grow as they don't have any seniors on the squad. With the addition of some new players will only make them more competitive.
