Valorant picks up first victory of the spring in NECC competition

Beat Carroll University 2-0 (13-11, 13-7)

STORM LAKE, Iowa - Buena Vista University Valorant squad picked up their first victory of the spring season on Tuesday night by sweeping Carroll University. The Beavers are now 1-2 in the NECC West Great Lakes divisional play. 

The Beavers and the Pioneers played a very close first map. BVU came out guns a blazing opening up a commanding lead. Carroll stayed call and made a great comeback closing the gap to 12-11 before BVU got the last round to win 13-11. Jackson Trotman led all players with 25 kills while Aiden Webber followed with 15. Cameron Germain and Max Grace had 14 while Halie Ferguson tallied 11. 

In map 2 the Beavers controlled play taking the 13-7 victory. Grace finished with a 18 kills while Ferguson followed with 17. Trotman had 16 while Webber and Germain finished with 12 apiece.
