R6 will compete in activation week 1 of the NECC Wednesday, September 8 against Southern Mississippi at 6:30 pm and Greenville University at 8 pm. This is a best of one map.

Buena Vista University Navy started their activation week one of the NECC with a match against Holy Cross. The Beavers struggled getting any offense going as they fell 3-0 (3-2, 3-1, 1-0 OT). Matthew Jewell, Skyler Keller and Dylan Laughlin rebounded in the final two matches defeating Concordia University (Wis.) 3-1 (3-2, 5-0, 0-2, 4-3 OT) and Cumberland University (Tenn.) 3-0 (3-2 OT, 2-1 4-2). The final competitor of the night was Joshua Tigges in the first race of the iRacing season at Daytona. Tigges qualified 36th which put him in the sixth spot for the Last Chance Qualifier. In the last chance qualifier he was running top 10 for the first half of the race but a caution bunched the group up. Tigges lane didn't get going on the restart and forced him to the middle of a three wide which forced a wreck. He finished in 18th place in the LCQ just six spots away from making the feature. The next race will te at Texas on September 21, 2021.
