Beavers wrap up busy week going 2-3

STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Beaver Esports squads continued competition this week finishing the week with a 2-3 record. Overall the BVU teams have combined for a 41-51 record. 

BVU Rainbow Six squad wrapped up their regular season in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) competition on Monday night. The Beavers squared off against UC Davis. BVU battled tough but fell 2-0 (7-2, 7-1) in their final regular season match. They ended the season with a 2-6 mark. There was much improvement throughout the season and we look forward to seeing what they can do in the coming years. 

Two FIFA players continued play on Monday night in PlayVs competition. Gor Riak evened his record at 3-3 and sits in a tie for 8th in PS4 competition. Ramon Garcia fell 2-0 against a player from Lakeland University. He also sits at 3-3 on the season and sits in 8th place in XBOX competition. 

Two Madden players also continued play in PlayVs competition. Nico Flores evened his record to 3-3 with a 2-0 (22-19, 27-7) victory against a player from the University of British Columbia. He sits in a tie for 17th in PS4 competition. Zack Huffman was forced to forfeit his match against MSU-Mankato due to scheduling conflicts. He falls to 3-3 and sits in a tie for 12th in XBOX competition. 

PlayVs players will continue competition next week while Rainbow Six will have to wait and see if they make the playoffs in NECC competiton.
