STORM LAKE, Iowa (April 27, 2021) - The Buena Vista University Beaver softball team defends the lake once again on Tuesday evening against Nebraska Wesleyan in a double header. BVU has been off since hosting Wartburg on April 17-18. Â

LAST TIME OUTÂ
The Beavers faced off against Wartburg college last weekend and went 1-2 in the three-game series. BVU took the opener 5-4 before losing a pair narrow contests in games two and three. In that third game, the Beavers held a 6-0 advantage before the Knights rallied late to edge BVU, 8-6.

SCOUTINGÂ NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
The Prairie Wolves prepare for their double header against the Beavers after the games were postponed due to weather related reasons. Nebraska Wesleyan seeks to reverse their three-game losing streak after giving up three wins to Simpson last weekend. Nebraska Wesleyan currently sits at 10-16 overall on the season, scoring 109 runs so far. Overall some players to look out for are Alycin Braun with a .360 avg and 11 runs. Another threat is the home run leader Valerie Gerlach, with six home runs and the team-high of RBI's with 17. The pitching threat for Nebraska Wesleyan is Kailey Meyer (named pitcher of the week on April 19th) sporting an ERA of 3.96 and 8-7 for the year.Â

--Senior Carlee Guyett leads the team with a .413 batting average this season.Â
--BVU ranks fifth overall in the A-R-C in team batting average (.311)Â
--The Beavers are fourth overall with 51 doubles, just 11 behind league-leading Dubuque (62)Â
