League of Legends Falls to Bulldogs 2-1 in NECC Playoffs

Beavers 6th Seed Concordia-Nebraska 3rd Seed

Storm Lake, Iowa – The Beavers League of Legends team opened the NECC Navigators Cyan playoffs last night against Concordia-Nebraska. The Beavers came in as the 6th seed while CUNE was the 3rd seed. BVU battled tough but ended up falling 2-1 closing out their fall semester of NECC play. BVU will play in the ECAC playoffs on Saturday, November 20th at 2 pm central time. They are the 6th seed and will take on Central Maine CC college who are the #3 seed. The Beavers defeated CMCC 2-1 in regular season play.

Game 1 - Beavers came in with a comfortable draft from but things quickly didn't go their way. The Nasus top quickly got out of hand and took down the Beavers for the first game.

Game 2 - This was the Beavers show! Great rotations and map control by Will Hatchitt and Taryn Crocket-Robles led to an early lead in which the Beavers didn't give up into the mid game. Mid game came down to some huge team fights where top lanner Ben McConaughy was able to control up CUNE while the rest of the team dealt the damage. With good objective control and team play the game was over before CUNE could create a defense.

Game 3 - Game 3 was a slug match between BVU and CUNE. Both sides taking leads and giving them back in chaotic team fights. Overall CUNE had the better map control and was able to force BVU into losing trades. These trades lead to a small gold lead turning into a large gap in which BV was not able to make up in the end. GG CUNE.
