Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROSEMONT, Ill. (March 8, 2020) - The Buena Vista softball team wrapped up its six-game stretch over the last three days with a pair of tough losses on Sunday against UW-Stout and UW-Oshkosh, respectively.

The Blue Devils, who handed the Beavers a tough 6-4 setback late Saturday night came back out to begin the day on Sunday to hand BVU a tough 7-1 loss.  In the later of the two, UW-Stout used a quick start to take control, getting a run in the first before plating four in the second and take a 5-0 lead.  It remained that way until the Titans pushed across two more in the top of the seventh.  BVU was able to scratch across its only run of the contest in the home half with a two-out RBI single from Mckynze Hansen, who had a team-high two hits in the game.

Against Oshkosh, both teams scored once in the first inning before the Titans added one in the fourth to grab a 2-1 lead.  The Beavers went in front again in the top of the sixth with two unearned runs.  The Titans then responded with two of their own in the bottom half, getting a solo home run to lead off the frame and a one-out RBI single which proved to be the game-winner.

Hansen doubled to lead-off the game and ended with a pair of runs scored.  Carlee Guyett singled home Hansen in that first inning for her only hit of the game.  BVU was held to only three hits after the opening inning.

Carrie Dose suffered the loss inside the circle in the first game of the day while Peyton Gross took the loss against the Titans.

Buena Vista is now 4-8 overall and heads to Tucson, Ariz., to play 10 games over a six-day span, beginning with the first two on Thursday, March 12.
