The Buena Vista women's track and field team took part in the Northwestern College Red Raider Open and finished up competition on Thursday afternoon with a handful of more top performances.
Mallory Spear was just off her season best time in the 100 meter dash where she finished third in a time of 12.72 seconds. She did, however, run her best time in the 200 meter dash (25.79) and now ranks eighth in the league.
Madison Spear captured yet another title in the 100 meter hurdles when she held off second-place by just 0.01 seconds (15.12). Shen then took fourth in the 400 in 1:08.14.
Both individuals also ran legs on both the 4x100 meter relay team that placed third and the 4x400 that was fourth.
Brooke Runneberg was runner-up in the high jump, and her mark of 1.53 meters was just off her height of 1.55 last week.
Buena Vista has the weekend off and will get back out on the track for the annual Sioux City Relays next Friday and Saturday.
