Women's Golf Moves up One Spot to Take 18th at Wartburg Fall Invite

The Buena Vista women's golf team did move up one spot in the team standings on Sunday and placed 18th overall at the Wartburg College Fall Invite.

BVU improved its team total by four shots from Saturday's first 18 holes and jumped ahead of Edgewood College.  Junior Emily Kim carded an 85 to lead the way and tied for 55th overall.  Graysen Mechler improved by six shots from her opening-round score while Katelyn Baltes was 10 strokes better. Nicole Rohner rounded out the line-up as BVU played with only four golfers.

A total of 117 golfers took part in the 36-hole event which was one via tiebreaker by Wartburg's Brooke Klostermann.  She careded a 69 on Sunday to finish -1 overall.  Carleton College was the team champion with a 616, as it held off UW-Stout by just two strokes.

The Beavers will be back out onto the course on September 15-16 when it takes part in the Briar Cliff Invite at Two Rivers Golf Course in Sioux City.  Friday's round gets underway at 10:00am.
