Following his stellar game on Saturday during Buena Vista's thrilling 44-41 victory at the University of Dubuque, wide receiver TJ Lint has been named as this week's Iowa Conference Male Athlete of the Week.
Lint turned in 191 yards receiving on 12 catches, including a pair of touchdowns and had two receptions for a combined 33 yards that helped set up BVU's game-winning score with 17 seconds left.
His 191 yards are the most in any game by an IIAC player this season and gives him 1,900 career receiving yards which moves him into fourth on the programs all-time list. It was his first double-digit total for receptions in a game this season as he also moved into fourth on the all-time receptions list with 126.
Lint scored the game's first points with a five-yard touchdown grab from quarterback Cole Miller with 5:16 left 1st quarter before adding an 11-yard score late in the first half which gave BVU a 20-7 lead.
He averaged 15.9 yards per catch on the day, including his longest reception of 46 yards.
Beaver football now has a pair of Male Athletes of the Week this season (Cole Miller), and this marks the first time Lint has earned IIAC recognition in his career.
Buena Vista is now 3-2 overall (2-2 IIAC) and will step out of conference play this Saturday for a non-conference game at Washington University (Mo.) (1-5) at 1:00pm.
